Locally Owned and Sourced Boutiques
The Land of Salt is one of my favorite shops to purchase locally made gifts from!
Beyond vintage, 900 South is home to some of the most creative independent boutiques in Salt Lake City. Here are some of my personal favorites for you to explore:
The Land of Salt: Founded by self-taught silversmith Erica Hoggan, The Land of Salt offers handcrafted jewelry inspired by Utah's diverse landscapes. Her Salt Lake City boutique showcases her creations alongside curated goods from independent artisans, reflecting a deep pride in their local heritage.
Mineral and Matter: A female-founded jewelry and accessories boutique inspired by nature and outer space. Their in-house, women-empowered team crafts minimal designs for everyday wear, emphasizing quality and craftsmanship. Through initiatives like Small Brands Take a Stand, they commit to social activism, donating proceeds from select lines to worthy causes.
Randy's Records: Established in 1978, Randy's Records is Utah's oldest independent vinyl store, offering a vast selection of new and used vinyl LPs and 7" 45 RPM records across various genres. Located at 157 East 900 South in Salt Lake City, this iconic shop has been a cornerstone of the local music scene for decades. Their shop also features a lot of Insta-worthy murals painted by local artists.
Koo De Kor: A chic boutique offering European inspired, contemporary women’s fashion. Her curated lifestyle blog can’t be missed!
Acrely Farms: Combining sustainable farming with wellness, Acrely Farms creates high-quality, organic CBD and lavender-based products. From soothing skincare to handcrafted wellness solutions, their offerings bring a touch of Utah's natural beauty into everyday life.
Acreley Farms has a storefront located in the Maven District - a woman owned business district in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City.
The Central 900 South Corridor shows the perfect blend of local charm, creativity, and convenience, all within easily walkable blocks. Whether you are in search of vintage treasures, a local brewery, unique gifts, or simply looking to enjoy a day of retail therapy, this vibrant neighborhood offers something for everyone.
Featuring curated vintage finds, handcrafted jewelry, specialty books, and gourmet treats, and more the small businesses in this area are filled with distinctive treasures waiting to be discovered. Shopping locally not only allows you to find one-of-a-kind items but also supports the small businesses that make downtown Salt Lake City’s community so unique.
